The following updates have already been made since the time this website was opened on January 19, 2005. Unfortunately, all these changes were made only after the CD version of this music book had already been produced.

1/26/05:
* All the Finale "Hear" files were changed so that when they are played by the computer, they will sound more like a voice chanting in a church instead of music played on a piano. Also, the playback tempo of all these files was slightly reduced, and all the empty graphic boxes were removed.

2/13/05:
* The melody in the last staff of the resurrectional apolytikion in plagal fourth mode was slightly altered.

* The playback tempo at the end of the cherubic hymn for Holy Saturday "Let All Mortal Flesh" was fixed, and the word "approaches" was changed to "approacheth" in the Elizabethan English version of the Finale file for this hymn.

* In the Liturgy of St. Basil, in the last page of the hymn "In Thee Who Art Full of Grace" by Theodosopoulos, the melody was slightly changed in the first and fifth staff.

* In the Liturgy of Presanctified Gifts, in the fourth mode version of the hymn "Let My Prayer Be Set Forth," the melody was slightly changed in the second staff, and the ison was changed in the last staff. A problem with the playback tempo was also fixed for this hymn.

*Also in the Liturgy of Presanctified Gifts, in the plagal fourth mode version of the hymn "I Will Bless the Lord at all Times," the first half note in the second staff was changed to a dotted half note. A problem with the playback tempo was also fixed for this hymn.

2/20/05:
* In the hymn "As Many of Ye as Were Baptized" in both Elizabethan and Modern English, a flat was missing from the high "E" in the third staff on the second page. This was missing from both the PDF "View" files and the Finale "Hear" files.

* A mistake was corrected that had made the playback speed extremely slow near the end of the following Finale "Hear" files: "Let All Mortal Flesh" (cherubic hymn for Holy Saturday), the brief "Anaphora in Second Mode" (from the Liturgy of St. Basil), "Pardon, Remit, and Forgive" (from the Liturgy of St. James) and the following hymns from the Liturgy of Presanctified Gifts: "Now the Hosts, Fourth Mode" and "Let My Prayer"

* The words "Your," "You," and "Your" in the Finale "Hear" file for the cherubic hymn of Holy Thursday were changed to "Thine," "Thee," and "Thy" for the Elizabethan English version.

3/5/05:
* In the troparion "As Many of Ye as Were Baptized," in the first version of the verse "Glory to the Father..." the ison "D" was missing from the second instance of the word "the."

* In the Dynamis of "As Many of Ye as Were Baptized," the ison "D" was missing from the first "F" in the fourth staff.

* In the fourth page of the cherubic hymn for Holy Thursday, the ison "A" was missing from the sixth note in the third staff.

* In the plagal second cherubic hymn by Karamanis, the Finale "Hear" file was playing two F-sharps as if they were natural, even though the music itself was written correctly. In particular, there was an F in the last staff of the second page and in the second staff of the third page that were not being played properly by the computer.

4/22/05:

* In the cherubic hymn for Holy Thursday, two flats were missing from the word "kiss."

* In the slow communion hymn for Pascha, the syllable "Bod" was shifted one note to the right.

*The playback speed was fixed in the end of the Finale "Hear" file of the First Stasis of the Typica in Plagal First Mode.

6/6/05:

* In the Third Mode Anaphora by Nikolaidis, the melody for the word "pray unto" in the last staff was altered so that it stresses the word "pray" instead of the last syllable of the word "unto."

* In the Elizabethan English version of the two Katavasias for Pentecost, the word "thy" was changed to "thine."

* In the Elizabethan English version of "As Many of Ye as Were Baptized," the grammatically incorrect word "ye" was changed to "you."

* The following two pages were added to our website:

http://www.stanthonysmonastery.org/music/NotationB.htm

12/12/05:

* We made the entire Divine Liturgies Music Project available also in Byzantine notation, in both Elizabethan and Modern English. This music may be accessed by using the new drop-down menus added to each web page of our music website.

* In the process of transcribing all the music back into Byzantine notation, we found dozens of ways to improve the music in Western notation. Some of these improvements were merely fixing the playback speed, other fixes were changes to the melody, while others were just correcting typos. The following list describes all of these changes. Since there are quite a few changes, you might prefer to download the new files containing all these changes rather than writing them yourself in your music. If you would like to get all these files at once instead of opening each one separately, you can do so by downloading the following file for Elizabethan English:

http://www.stanthonysmonastery.org/music/Updates-ElizabethanEnglish.zip

or the following file for Modern English:

http://www.stanthonysmonastery.org/music/Updates-ModernEnglish.zip

The size of these zip files is 10 megabytes each.
